First ever!

For some reason I threw carb-caution to the wind and made my first ever tarte au citron today. It was a Mary Berry recipe and the pastry was devilishly difficult to handle. It broke up all the time and eventually I just had to patchwork it in the pan. 
The tart pan was really a bit too deep, but at least the filling stayed in it. 
I may have whisked a little too vigorously as the top went a bit bubbly, but I’m astounded that it actually set!
I’m sure it will improve with a bit of practice!
