Tony's Wood
Monday morning walking group took us nearly three miles up hill and down dale around the village, following paths we had not come across before to emerge from a thicket to cries of "oh I wondered where that path led ". We saw snowdrops, primroses and daffodils, we saw bushes and trees in bud and some starting to bloom. We saw evidence of a thrush finding food with broken shells littering the path. It was grey and murky and towards the end was spitting with rain but we loved it. This woodland leads down to Barbers lane and as it meets the path there is a pretty hand painted sign announcing "Tony's Wood".
