Flower Cutouts

It was very tempting to take a photo of some mud in the driveway or a dirty looking snowbank, since that would more faithfully capture how things have been looking around here today. But instead I took some paper cutouts my wife made (which I found pressed between some pages of a book), placed them on a sheet of paper lying on her ipad, and took a photo of that. After a bit of processing I think it looks rather cheerful. 

I already had the day off tomorrow, but as it turns out school has already been cancelled due to a nasty storm coming tomorrow. Honestly I'm looking forward to a day where there is a perfect excuse to cancel all plans and simply rest.
