Salt marsh
We drove to Parkgate, South Wirral today. A car park about half a mile outside the village gives a superb vantage point over the salt marsh of the Dee Estuary. The light was constantly changing as the clouds scudded across in a very cold westerly wind. It’s an excellent place for bird watching and our car made a very good warm hide. There was a lot to see but marsh harrier and little egret were highlights for me. The ridge on the other side of the Estuary is North Wales.
