Rainy graduation

I passed this group of people attending their graduation at Southampton Guildhall today. I passed by on my way to the library for more research on Southampton and slavery. We were looking at newspapers on microfiche from the 1850s for reports on anti slavery activities in Southampton related to American slavery. It involved staring at very small print trying to find what we were looking for but we had some success eventually. I came home and did some Googling and now feel quite fired up having found various things online about women’s involvement in anti slavery activities.I will no doubt provide more detail about it another day!
