Llanthony Priory
"A family is essentially a field of stories, each intricately connected. Death does not sever the connection; rather, the story expands as it continues unwinding inter-dimensionally".
Poet Warrior: A Memoir - Joy Harjo
A walk with K1 from Llanthony Priory up onto Hatterall Ridge (well, nearly), the boundary between Wales and England and also the route of Offas Dyke path.
The Priory Hotel was busy so we wandered along to the Half Moon Hotel about 200m further, plenty of room and a welcoming open fire. Reflected on choosing Dad’s favourite lunchtime meal to eat, and when I spoke to D about our walk later, he also had a recollection of visiting here with him many years ago, no doubt to have the same meal.
