Walsh Bay again

Today I went to a performance of the Bangarra Dance Company's Wudjang: Not the Past. It was a fabulous work by this iconic First Nations troupe.

The photo features at its centre Blues Point Tower. It was completed in 1962 as part of a broader pioneering vision for high density housing by famed Australian architect Harry Seidler, who saved the site from industrial use. Until 1970 Blues Point Tower was the tallest building in Australia. In 2011 a 6 metre maritime radar was constructed on the roof.

This building has had its fair share of critics and still does, but I love it. It is on North Sydney Council's heritage register. Good.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
