In the Shed

First day volunteering this century in the workshops at the Doon Valley Railway at Waterside which is run by the Ayrshire Railway Preservation Group. I was a volunteer many years ago before moving away and now I'm back living in Ayrshire it was time to get involved again.

Current projects in the shed are overhaul of steam locomotive NCB Ayrshire Area No.10 (Andrew Barclay Sons & Co. No 2244/1947), Ruston & Hornsby 4wDM No. 417890 "Johnnie Walker" and an LMS brake van. All the team on site today worked on the restoration of the brake van.
