Years ago I recall a radio play about a girl from a criminal family who appalled her parents and especially siblings by falling in love with a policeman. The disgrace !
Is there a named genre for reversed morality tales ? Ripley might fit in. Perhaps some publisher might like to fund my doctoral thesis, involving reading immoral and amoral thrillers in some sunlit quad, while dreaming up pompous comparisons between them.
