New heart

Long day today. Our friend L went in to surgery at noon for a major brain op. As a result work wasn't really the place I wanted to be. She came out just before 8 tonight. Still to early to tell how well it's gone but fingers crossed.

Some good news, I found out I won the blip challenge this week. Thanks for the vote's folks. Did manage to cheer me up a bit today.

Ages ago we bought a remote vacuum cleaner called a Roomba. Ours is called Marley after the dog / film, mainly because we got is about the same time the film came out and it also had a habit of eating loo roll and tights that were left around the flat.

Since moving to the new flat we haven't used it, so as we have been having issues with the cleaner I thought it was time to see if he was still working. Turns out that the battery is dead, as it hasn't been charged for such a long time. So this is a replacement. Open heart surgery is next.
