Ythan

After thundering round the Balgownie playing fields (2nd last, I thank you) , it was great to recover the legs with a stroll around the Ythan and a spot of bird watching, 50 species for the day, mainly due to the sharp eyes and ID skills of this fine fellow.

The bridge over the Ythan at Logie Buchan is a war memorial to the locals who fell in two wars. The list of names may be relatively short, but must have been devastating for this tiny hamlet.
