Our Lady of Mt. Carmel
Built in 1936, the unique architectural style was patterned after the Pueblo Indian missions built in New Mexico and Arizona in the 17th century. Examples are the the uneven window openings and irregularly plastered walls. The courtyard, front stone portal, and weathered façade make combinations of form, light and color. The style, known as "Pueblo Revival," is a blend of missionary design and building techniques from the Pueblo Indians. CHECK OUT THE EXTRA.
