Journies at home

By journiesathome

From the divine to the un-sublime

In my whole teacher life I've never had a room of my own
Apart from having to shlep around from one floor to the next and one corridor to the next, there are advantages in not getting too used to views that you take them for granted.
Some rooms look out over the mountains, some look over my hills and some look out on the workshop chimneys and a square tower, whose purpose is mysterious but gives me crematorium vibes.
In the too few moments of lull between lessons, I imagine the laziest, most disruptive, disrespectful pupils going up in smoke.  Then worry about my mental health.
