Tree felling

Walked with a friend and her dog in local woods.  They are cutting down the trees suffering from Dutch Elm Disease.  So sad to see  mature specimens being axed.
Lot of dog walkers about, all shapes and sizes (applied to owners too!)
There was a beautiful rainbow but I failed to captuer it in time.
A post walk cuppa and chat made the afternoon very pleasant.
Today would have been my 62nd wedding anniversary.  Felt a bit sad that husband no longer around to celebrate such things, but I have lots of happy memories.
