Today marks the 70th anniversary of the accession to the throne of Queen Elizabeth the Second, following the death of her father, King George the Sixth. Both the Ha'penny coin and the Tuppence Ha'penny stamp in my blip were issued in that year, with their appropriate regnal head.

Being four years old I have only faint memories of those times, only a few coins and stamps that my father purchased on my behalf.
