Santa Ana River
It’s not majestic like River Thames, Nile, Amazon or even the mighty Mississippi, but it’s ours. Sometimes full, sometimes almost dry, it meanders for 96 miles from the San Bernardino mountains through 3 counties then dumps into the Pacific Ocean. Aquifers hold some of the water to ease our drought stricken land but the bulk of water avoids the watershed and becomes one with the beach. Today’s ride took in about 19 miles of river trail biking.
