Florida at last!

Friday
Our destination for tonight was Sarasota Florida, where our son is currently living. We were meeting with him in the evening, to take him out for dinner, and staying at a nearby hotel before completing our journey to Sanibel Island tomorrow. Since our journey time was only about 4 hours, rather than going straight to the hotel, we made a slight detour to Fort de Soto State Park, to get some exercise and enjoy the long awaited sunshine. As you can see from my collage, we had a great few hours walking and bird watching. In my collage, starting top left and going clockwise, white pelicans, reddish egret, Willet, Loggerhead shrike (I believe), and sanderling. Philip took us to his favourite Thai restaurant, which was certainly very good
