Weetman’s Bridge

An unexpected free day so I treated myself to a decent walk. Too late to venture further, I went to Cannock Chase. Very muddy! Really nice walk which skirted Shugborough Hall and its estate. I rather liked this bridge over the River Trent, built in 1887 to replace a wooden bridge which in turn had replaced the ferry in 1830.
