Blowing in the wind
Some household chores this morning, and after lunch a short walk down to the river. It was gloriously blue when I left the flat but, once again, very wild and windy. The silver birch on the end of the street looked fabulous in the sun, with one solitary pigeon clinging on to a branch as it swayed around in the wind.
Put the last header tape on to the bedroom curtains later, while MrM continued painting the bathroom walls. They'll need at least one more coat.
MrM left for Berwick early in the evening for a jazz practice with Lucy C, and on the way called in to the DIY shop for more paint and a rail for the wardrobe. Hopefully, fingers crossed, we'll be moving back in to the bedroom soon...
Two years go, the last live concert we went to before the first Coronavirus lockdown began. We had tickets to see 'The Musical Box' again last year at this time, but it was postponed until this year. It was to have been 2 days ago, but it was - you guessed it - postponed until next year. Hoping it'll be third time lucky!
