13.15 from Tenterden arrives at Wittersham Road

Back at Wittersham Road signal box today for the 3rd learning turn this month. This is the view from the signal box balcony as the Down train from Tenterden pulls into the loop and approaches the platform.

This is a passing move as there is no Up train crossing with this train on this occasion. It is a "simple" matter of exchanging tokens with the Driver as the train passes the signal box, receiving the token from the Rolvenden - Wittersham section and giving the Driver the token for the Wittersham - Northiam section.

Today completed my 12th learning turn at Wittersham Road signal box and also the last of the box practicals. I've 3 more learning turns rostered in May and June and with a few more turns after that I should be ready to "pass out" as a signalman at Wittersham Road some time in August or September. (I hope!)
