Oranges And Lemons
Essential ingredients for making orange marmalade, plus sugar and water, of course. Having picked up a 1kg pack of Sevilles at half price, I made up the weight with a navel orange and an extra lemon and decided to follow Sallymair and do it all by the book (squeezing the juice and cutting the peel raw) rather than use the pressure cooker as usual. It took all afternoon and evening but has turned out well.
These in the photograph were not suitable for this, however, as they are not real but from a box of marzipan fruit, given by the kids for Christmas and perfect for Tiny Tuesday. Thanks to cathy1947 for hosting this week.
