Boat Rigging

Outside Linden House, home of the Corinthians Sailing Club, there's a fixed mast and yard, and loads of ropes that I assume are what's known as rigging.

There's no boat, the pole is just planted straight into the ground. Maybe it's used for knot-tying practice, but it's probably just there for show.
