First Quarter Moon

Once again, I’ve reached the end of the day without a photograph for this day’s blip. I looked up at the moon on this clear night, and I realized that some quick astrophotography would solve my problem. The resulting handheld image of the First Quarter moon with 49 percent illumination was created at 10:42pm EST.
