Feathers and dust

After just two days out of town, I found this layer of dust and a single feather lying on our living room floor. Maybe it's time to do the biennial spring cleaning or what do you think?

The feather is also a sad sight as it reminds me that I bought the blanket from IKEA, way before I knew they pluck them from live animals. Never going to do shopping there again - if it's cheap, probably someone else is paying part of the price.
