Nesting Rights of the Grey Herons

I have tried to find a way to access a view of the heronry from the south side for several years and finally found one this morning. It did involve walking up the grass verge by a dual carriageway! Activity seems to be earlier than usual so no leaves meant some clear shots of squabbling herons as they tried to claim the old nests. Extra of two love birds.
