The Scharwenkas' anniversary

Today I went out with Mr and Mrs S to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with friends. The sun came out and it turned into a superb celebratory afternoon in excellent company and with lots of delicious food and wine at The Fishes, in North Hinksey.
My starter was this delicious squid and chorizo salad; and I'm hoping that S blips one of the stunning pictures of the Cote de Boeuf that he and others chose, it looked (and tasted, so I heard) amazing.
It was a really wonderful afternoon and definitely the first day of spring!
