Early bird

It's been a mild day, but very much a day of two halves: initially dry with some sunshine first thing this morning but wet and drizzly this afternoon.  It was a nice enough start for the lawn to receive its first cut of the year, so it now looks much improved and considerably less shaggy, but very wet as that drizzle is the sort that just keeps going and soaks everything right through.

So all in all, a day for staying at home and getting some of those chores done, like renewing one's car insurance - I'm sure you get the idea - really useful but not at all exciting or interesting :-)
