A more than mild obsession!

My younger niece is an avid fan of Alice in Wonderland and her small flat has more books, posters and ornaments than I ever knew existed.

I asked her today where her love of A in W sprang from.  In her fifth year at school they had to write a dissertation on a book of their own choice. She had no idea what to choose so her father (my brother) bought her two books from the bookshop in St Andrews ..... Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier and Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll and that was it ..... Hazel was hooked. She went down to London last summer to see the Alice in Wonderland exhibition in the V & A Museum .... I think she must be the biggest fan.
I hate to confess that I have never read that very famous story
