Morpeth Scar

We drove to the picturesque village of West Burton not too far from where we are staying. From there we took a circular walk to the ruins of the Knight Templar chapel. The uphill start was very, very steep but worth the climb for the panoramic views. My step counter tells me we walked 6 miles and climbed 61 floors! We ate lunch at the Fox & Hounds PH which was very welcoming. Today’s power and roar came from the passing RAF jets which we viewed at eye-level as they flew up the dale.
