Crocuses

This is just a small area of the patch of crocuses in my friend’s garden.

We got up at a reasonable time this morning having had a good night’s sleep. We had breakfast, I read the paper, and did today’s Wordle, then we set off for a walk.
We walked down to the shore meeting several of Geordie’s friends on the way. First it was Cooper and Ted (both doodles), then Fergie the pointer, who is still a Puppy, and Ollie and Lottie, who are gorgeous black labs.
Along the shore Betsy from the Sweetie shop greeted us, eager for treats. She was wearing her colourful crocheted blanket which makes her look like she is going jousting but has lost her knight.
We made our way to Mitch’s, where he and I sat in his sitooterie, in the warmth of the sun, and put the world to rights, while Geordie explored the garden, checking for cats.
We arrived there in bright sunshine, although cold and windy, but by the time we left it was raining and much colder.
We hot-footed it home for lunch and an afternoon reading. Followed by an “Open awareness” meditation for a change.
