Watch out for that Tree!

Couldn’t’ see anything through the cabin window this morning. Must be foggy methinks. But no, it was snow skiting past! It was lying quite deep on deck making things soggy and slippy but I ventured out anyway for a talk about the man-made channel we were navigating (the Risøyrenna is 5km long, 100m wide, 7m deep). Then the snow eased slightly and this wee island appeared, complete with tree!
We’ve only managed a couple of brief escapes from the ferry today, lightning tours of Storkmarknes and Svolvær. The first was in heavy, wet snow and the second in a mix of wet and bullet hard pellet snow. The latter is not recommended, neither place nor snow!
