A MONUMENT TO EROSION

It's Wide Wednesday but this photo of the Grand Canyon does not fit the challenge....but it's surely wide enough so I'll post it anyway.

One of many overlook spots on the canyon rim. Looking over the edge will give one a perspective that's hard to realize. It's over a mile deep in places and, I'm told, many bizarre critters live there.

I have a friend who tells of sitting in the sunshine on the rim of the canyon and looking down at a thunderstorm below him in the canyon. That's bizarre.

You've all seen pictures of the Grand Canyon...but until you see it with your own eyes, you will not know how inadequate any photo of the canyon really is.
