Driving to Paris

Our flight from Boston to Paris was very empty (Marylee counted 37 people in the whole of the economy section) and very fast - we arrived in 5 hours and 45 minutes.   (Later Note):  Our audio offerings included a long series of Beatles songs, including the Yellow Submarine, with the line "in a tube..."--which of course where we were.

A number of flights must have come in at the same early morning hour as ours and we had a long wait at passport control.  Fortunately, many taxis were waiting and we started our drive into Paris and our apartment on the left bank.  Alas, it was a Monday morning and working from home three days a week was no longer mandated and we met heavy Monday-morning traffic.  I took lots of photos, even through it is hard to believe we are on our way to Paris from most of them.  It took nearly 2 hours to reach our apartment.  We are thrilled to be back!
