Wildlife in the garden

The wildlife camera picked up two unexpected visitors today, a young deer so small he slips through the smallest of gaps in our allegedly deer proof hedge. But what is a shock is the time. The camera captured him strolling through the garden at 10.30 this morning while M was there, albeit the other end.
 
The heron comes as a surprise. It’s some years since we had fish, he, or one of his relatives, scoffed the lot. So he can perch beside the pond as long as he wants. There are no fish.
