RAIN CHAIN

RAIN CHAINS, or Kusari-doi, originated in Japan, where they were used as a decorative replacement for a downspout.  They catch the water from the roof & redirect it into the landscape.  They slow down the water flow & make a lovely tinkling sound.  They can be just a plain chain or can be all kinds of colors & link styles.  Traditional RAIN CHAINS are made of copper, which turns into a beautiful tarnished green color.

The reason to get a RAIN CHAIN is they look so much better that a
regular downspout.  They make a lovely sound when water flows down them. They are low maintenance & will turn into an ice sculpture in Winter.

I have never had a RAIN CHAIN, but I have often admired my neighbor's
that are at each end of her covered porch.  We are in the middle of a drought, but they make a charming sound on our many windy days.
