Signs of Autumn

I went to the botanic gardens to take some photos of the trees in their autumn splendour - but I'm about two weeks early I think! Although this tree had a lot of crisp, brown (dead actually!) leaves around it, there was still plenty of green on it.

Had camera club last night. They had competition results, of which I had four entries. Needless to say, my efforts were torn to pieces (not literally, they were on a usb) by the judges. But, my boat photo was 'commended', which I think is 2nd place (story of my life). To be fair to the judges, I could totally see what they meant with their criticisms, and have taken their comments on board.
Onwards and upwards!

The days are getting colder and darker. Another couple of weeks and I'll have to get the fire going.
