The sea

Today I did another excellent online session with the Glasgow Women's Library. We listened to readings related to Joan Eardley - descriptions of her and her work by those who knew her well and recently written poems inspired by her work. The sea featured extensively in Joan's work and much of the writing revolved around it. It made me long to be there or as John Masefield said: I must go down to the sea again, to the lonely sea and the sky... possibly tomorrow.
