East Coast
The day of the island tour on the cheap - a dozen of us squeezed into a minibus and off we went up the coast with plenty stops. The driver was a most agreeable local guy, which meant we stopped at a rum shack and then he dished out beers at Speightstown where we had a good wander about. Much more of a holiday vibe going on up there. We also drove through acres of mansions - jees, the place inland is crammed with wealth like Beverley Hills. Or Barnton. Much mention of Rihanna of course, though he mentioned Cilla and Cliff (probably just for us).
So, up to the top of the island, stopping for a picnic in the National Park, before beetling down a wild east coast. Here’s Bathsheba, where Sir Mick used to hang out. It was wild today, but not in the way it was back then, I guess.
