The old city waterpump

From 1662. In the 19th century it was deteriorated due to traffic and central location. It was about to be demolished but the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam showed interest so that was where it went. From 1949 people in Vianen tried to get it back which succeeded in 1978. It is only since 1991 that it stands on its current location, our main street. A couple of years ago it got company of a new and functioning waterpump.
