The Boys Are Back In Town Again

I was aware there had been some sightings of Mandarin Ducks on the River Leven at Balloch, so have been passing that way regularly in vain hope. Today, I just had the prime lens on my camera in my pocket when I headed out for our dog walk. As we arrived at the boat launching bit where all the ducks gather, I realised there were Mandarins present and close to the shore, unfazed by people.
Their close proximity more or less made up for the lack of a zoom lens and they just swam about totally unconcerned. Bright sunshine and then shade was an issue but Cali for once was calm.

They really are a lovely sight.
