By the Canal

The day started well with a mini blipmeet with Kettwigefrau and Redilady this morning with excellent holes out of the doughnuts and coffee.  We had a hopefully useful chat about local facilities and companies.  Meeting Kettwigefrau was a pleasure and her purchases from the supermarket were illuminating - the hot cross buns were obviously a much missed treat!

After that Rob and I went out for lunch to use a voucher we were given when we went to a local hostelry around Christmas time - we were promised money off our bill from a voucher in a sealed envelope.  We could have been given 100%, 50% or 25% off depending on what the voucher in the envelope said when we were allowed to open it at the point of requesting the bill.  I was so excited!  Needless to say we got 25% off and very welcome it was too.

The stretch of canal in this blip is of part of the Stratford Canal.  We think we might go back there one day and wander along the canal a way.  Lovely scenery round there.

The sewing room has progressed to being nearly useable having moved from one room to another so sewing should continue soon.  Table for the machine to live on will come tomorrow and I can carry on with the old machine until the new one arrives.
