Sky Train

That's what it's called. Various "legs" run to different parts of the city. They even build apartment towers as close to stations as they can.
In my not so humble opinion, the issue is that if you live in the suburbs, you know, on an estate, then you have to catch one or maybe two buses to get to a station. And the same on the way home.
So go and park at the station then. 
Ah, thereby lies another problem. Many of the stations have no parking close at hand.

I don't know why I am "ranting" just a bit about this, it's been 12 years since I last used the Sky Train, and judging by the brutal traffic that Vancouver is infamous for, many others feel the same way as me.
