It's been a funny few days...
...we're across in the Lake District, staying at Crooklands...
We drove across yesterday, and picked up a 10ft pole from Kendal, which is part of a Memory Tree for the Celebration of Pam's life on Saturday. As we had plenty of time we took it through to Ambleside rather than leaving it on the roof rack, and coincidentally met up with H & E as they arrived too.
Yesterday it was Roy's birthday, and we had a lovely meal at our hotel.
Today it was Pam's funeral at Beetham Crematorium - a small humanist celebration for the "inner circle" only. It all went very well.
Tomorrow the open invite at the Parish Centre in Ambleside - could be lots there...
And then we're home on Sunday in time for Valentine's Day - a proper roller-coaster of a weekend indeed!
Just in case you were wondering - the blip is the canister of helium we picked up in Kendal today, ready to fill lots of blue balloons tomorrow, and one of Roy's birthday presents which arrived by post at the hotel. It's a voucher for a cheese making course in Settle - how brilliant is that??
