Birch

I spent a very pleasant morning with Clive Chatters (chair of the New Forest National Park Authority and author of 'Heathlands' published last year). We walked around the southern half of the heathland reserve and he gave us some advice on what we can do to improve the habitat for our sundews and marsh gentians. Clearing more of the birch is one of the priorities.
