Long Melford

We’ve escaped the dreadful smell of epoxy resin and general chaos in the house for a weekend in Long Melford. One of these towns we’ve often driven through and remarked on but never stopped. My husband was excited to discover that the brewer of his favourite Augustinian Ale, Nethergate, was in town. Unfortunately our hotel and the brewery Tap house are at diametrically opposed sides of the famously long high street so a four miles round trip for a pint. Our room is lovely. Looking forward to exploring tomorrow.
