To Infinity And Beyond

My Dear Princess and Dear Friends,

I am very tired. It was hard to get out of bed this morning.

It's the work and the socialising. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it very much but it can be tiring.

Nevertheless, once I was in the office I was happy I made the effort. Once again it was just me and Jefe while he tried to get the Surface Hub to work as it should.

The thing about the Surface Hub is that it is pretty new technology. By which I mean, Microsoft haven't made it easy to set up and there's a lot of chin-rubbing and saying, "Weee-eee-eeell, that's how it SHOULD work..."

And I'm assured that - once firmware updates come through - it will be MUCH easier to set up than it is now. However, since it is "now" NOW, that is not a great deal of comfort.

Not that it bothered ME. As far as I was concerned Jefe got it working as expected yesterday. But he knows how much cooler he can make it and it frustrates him that he couldn't make it do the cool things.

Today's picture is a capture from a video I took of him larking about with the Hub, and creating "Infinite Jeffs". As you can see, he has effed up his arm.

"I wish I could tell you it was from saving a child or getting into a bar fight with racists," he said. "But actually I just slept funny on it a few months ago and it still isn't better."

So I did my best to support the one-armed man. By which I mean I bought him buttermilk chicken salad for lunch and a caramel latte*. In between swearing he and I had fun and chatted and watched YouTube videos of nerds setting up THEIR Hubs.

And we left at 5pm, with it looking PRETTY good, if not exactly how he wanted it. We'll both be back on Tuesday, and I'm going to spend some more time with YouTube nerds this weekend to see if I can contribute anything.

I was happy to spend time with Caro this evening though, and to get a big cuddle from Jasper cat.
