The road home

I have had to travel to Ireland because my father is sick in hospital. This is not the main road but it is the road I like to travel. The west of Ireland has a quality all it's own especially when you go up on to the bog road. It has changed a lot since I last lived here, there used to be only a few farms and the occasional house now you have to travel far to get as sparse a view as this. Of course the recent bog fires help the starkness.
