Holly bark

The morning sparkled in brilliant sunlight on the morning walk,  everything that was back lit glowed and everything in the sunshine shone.   I normally only post landscape pics but I only took this in portrait. Look how incredibly smooth the bark on these holly trees is!  The landowner of this path keeps these trees cut back and I don’t think I’ve noticed the sheen on the wood before.  

I had no meetings today so mopped up a lot of tasks in the office. Diving out at one point to prune the clematis. The benefits of working at home…
