Harbour aquatics
A very chilly day but these two waved a cheery invitation to join them - something I wouldn't do for love nor money.
One of them's a friend who revels in sea swimming whatever the temperature, in addition she finds the cold water relieves her chronic health problems. Recently she's been doing some very striking art work, colourful pictures of fish, seaweed and coral - it's as if she's found her métier.
The extra is a turnstone. There was a flock of them hopping along the rocks feeding on shellfish and crustaceans. They are winter visitors, blow-ins from Alaska or Greenland but, sensibly, not swimmers.
