Picnic & Geocaching
I went to Sonning-on-Thames for my walk today. The churchyard there has beautiful carpets of snowdrops and I wanted to see them. I hadn’t intended to walk very far but I pushed myself a bit and in the end was out there for 3 hours!
I walked towards Reading and sat and enjoyed my coffee overlooking the river with the meadows behind me. This rower came past just at the right time!
I opened up my geocache app and discovered that there were a series of caches that were fairly new, so I looked for and found 4 of them. There are more nearby, but I will save them for another day because it was getting dark.
See Extra photo for a few more pictures. The snowdrops were beautiful but I find them so hard to capture! The top right picture was my view as I had my coffee. The sky turned grey soon after that, but then suddenly the pink appeared for the middle and bottom pictures. Those two were taken almost an hour after the sunset picture.
The little robin came to sit next to me for a minute or so as I sat by the lock at Sonning. They are SO friendly! He seemed happy to wait while I got my phone out of my pocket and let me take several pictures.
